Do you ever feel weighed down by your past, dealing with trauma rather than cultivating an amazing life in the present? It’s more common than you may think, and the harsh reality is 70% of adults have experienced some type of traumatic event at least once in their lives, which can lead to feelings of anger, depression, guilt, and more.
Trauma is an ugly beast that often rears its ugly head time and time again. But it doesn’t have to be this way, something Emily Bass discovered after commencing her own journey of healing and growth. I recently sat down with the Mindset and Energy Coach to discuss how she blossomed from the weeds of mental, emotional, and physical health issues and is now sharing her seeds of wisdom and gained knowledge to help others.
“It was really difficult,” she admits, but incorporating alternative methods like energy work and seeking help from coaches, healers and therapists (a notable therapist Debbie and energy coach Dave in particular) allowed Emily to heal wounded parts of her mind that ultimately healed her body as a result.
“Once I realized the mind is so powerful, our emotions are so powerful, and so much of our personality is largely trauma responses and an imbalanced nervous system,” she illuminates, “I knew I wanted to share what I learned with other people.”
Today, Emily is achieving just that and more. And what makes her coaching so unique is her process, known as the Timeline Shifting Method.
“The Timeline Shifting Method is under the premise that there are infinite timelines existing right now, and with your consciousness, you can choose which timeline you want to exist in,” she explains.
So what does that look like? During a one-on-one coaching session with Emily, she’ll take you back in time through breathwork and a guided meditation to a specific point that’s blocking your manifestations from occurring. By revisiting and processing the emotions that are anchoring you in a specific timeline, it allows the body\mind system to rebalance to create more coherence.
“Together we process the emotions, rewrite the story and perception, and once there’s space created, we hop into a future timeline to begin the manifestation processes,” she discusses. The manifestation process involves creating new thoughts, beliefs, and assumptions, which leads to new emotions, in a specific timeline and shifts how you live your life in the present. So rather than holding on to negative feelings with an event from your past, you process them, create space, and fill that space with empowering thoughts, emotions and actions.
“And with that change, your intuition gives you different insights or different messages so that you have the actionable steps to anchor those changes in,” she continues.
Founding her business just last year, Emily has learned so much about herself throughout the process, both from being a first-time business owner and coaching clients.
“My clients mirror back to me different things which are really interesting. So at the same time, I’m learning about myself through my clients,” she smiles, “I feel like there’s so much more to learn and a never-ending awareness I can gain.”
She not only defines herself as a coach and guide but also recognizes that she is a student herself, regardless of her position as a coach – a rare sentiment to come across. Because at the end of the day, we’re all walking the path of life, learning new things along the journey – what better way than to do it hand in hand?
The most rewarding part of her job? Witnessing her clients shift into the empowered version of themself. “The switch when they realize ‘Oh, that’s why I’m doing this or feeling this way, I can do things differently and create my life differently’ is my favorite thing to see,” she shares.
