If I had a nickel for every time a man allegedly abandoned his child to go on Love Is Blind, I’d now have two nickels (hiyah, Tyler!). A new report from reality TV reporter and content creator @StoryTimeWithRikkii claims that Love Is Blind: UK’s Patrick Justus was actually expecting a baby when he filmed the show—something he conveniently didn’t mention in the pods.
Patrick appeared in the first batch of Love Is Blind: UK episodes and failed to leave the pods engaged, though he did form a strong connection with Aanu, a singer. But in all their conversations, he never once mentioned that he had a baby on the way back home.
According to @storytimewithrikkii (aka reality TV expert Rikkii Wise), Patrick’s ex, identified only as “Lara,” was pregnant while he was in the pods—you know, the ones that are supposedly where you’ll fall in love with your future spouse. A social media post shared by Rikkii (which supposedly came from Lara) implied that she had previously dated Patrick…and Rikkii’s social media sleuthing turned up what seems to be compelling evidence that Patrick might be the father of Lara’s baby.
None of the women Patrick was talking to in the pads appear to have known about this before hand. Aanu hinted as much on her Instagram Stories, posting a viral clip of her calling someone a “liar,” and writing, “This post seems very fitting considering the new news that’s circulating online…” So, it definitely sounds like Aanu has plans to confront Patrick at the Love Is Blind: UK season 2 reunion.
Believe it or not, this isn’t Patrick’s only giant red flag of the season. First, there’s his job. He described himself as a “Human Design Coach,” which as far as I can tell is a mix between personal trainer, horoscope reader, and dietitian. (I’m skeptical.) He also told Aanu that he needed to “trust” his spleen—not his gut, not his stomach, his spleen.
Patrick hasn’t responded to Riikkii, but he has taken to TikTok to claim that his conversations were heavily edited to fabricate exchanges that never happened. My spleen is telling me he’ll have to come clean sooner or later.
