If you self identify as someone who’s been (maybe delusionally) obsessed with Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson since Dawson’s Creek, it’s happening. And by “it” I mean Katie and Joshua have reunited for another project—and considering they’re both currently single, the internet is doing its thing. But for those of you who are brand new here, we’ve laid out a timeline so you can catch up to our level of unwell.
Circa 1997
Production begins on Dawson’s Creek, which is when Katie and Joshua meet for the first time. Their chemistry is absolutely off-the-charts on screen, which makes sense: turns out they were dating in real life. More than that, Joshua was Katie’s first love.
Circa 1988
Katie confirms their relationship to Rolling Stone (via the Daily Mail), saying “I’m just going to say that I met somebody last year, I fell in love, I had my first love, and it was something so incredible and indescribable. I feel so fortunate because he’s now one of my best friends. It’s weird, it’s almost like a Dawson-and-Joey type thing now.”
She adds, “He’s been in the business so long, and he’s really helped me. I respect him as a friend and as a professional.”
