Hello and happy VMAs Day to all who celebrate! Every single year, the MTV Video Music Awards is filled to the brim with *the* most iconic ’fits and performances, and this year is no different. Unfortunately though, there was one A-lister missing from the show’s audience. (And no, we’re not talking about Taylor Swift.)

Ms. Jennifer Lopez skipped the 2023 VMAs this year despite attending a few New York Fashion Week runway shows in the NYC area in the days leading up to the awards show, but hey, she’s been pretty booked and busy lately.

Recently, the singer has had a lot to celebrate, including wrapping up an ultra-luxurious European summer vacation, both her and Ben Affleck’s birthdays, *and* the couple’s anniversary. And speaking of Bennifer’s anni, just a few weeks back, J.Lo dropped never-before-seen pics from the big day in addition to a sweet poem she wrote to her husband:

Dear Ben,

Sitting here alone

Looking at my ring ring

Feeling overwhelmed

It makes me wanna sing sing

How did we end up here

Without a rewind

Oh my

This is my life…

A refresher: These two made us believe in love again after they tied the knot last summer, and according to the Daily Mail, the celebs will likely be renewing their vows sometime soon. 🥺❤️ A source also gave us a lil update on the couple, saying, “All their kids are doing great; the families are all in sync. And to celebrate all that, as they get closer to their first wedding anniversary, they both want to renew their vows and show how much in love they are with each other. They are not taking this second chance for granted.”

Love this for them!
