At this point, most of us have hit up Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour IRL or relived the magic at our local movie theaters. There aren’t many things that can make the Eras Tour that much better than it already is (see: glitzy outfits, friendship bracelets, and bachelorette parties)—except for cozying up with a bottle of wine in the comfort of your own couch. I mean… cuddles are def warranted, especially after that “August”/“Illicit Affairs” mashup during the Folklore portion of the show. 🥲
That! Being! Said! I, along with tons of other Swifties, am wondering when the Eras movie is going to hit streaming services. It’s pivotal information for anyone who wants to boost their serotonin levels 📈📈📈 to the sounds of T-Swift. Ahead, find all the details about where and when to stream the Eras Tour movie.
Where can you stream the Eras Tour movie?
As of right now, there’s no streaming platform tied to the Eras movie. Swifties know that past Taylor-related projects have been released on Netflix and Disney+. While Netflix is home to the Reputation Stadium Tour movie and her Miss Americana documentary, Disney+ carries Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions.
How! Ever! The Hollywood Reporter revealed that the streaming and video on demand rights for the movie “are expected to be a hot commodity, with practically every major service throwing their hat in the ring and entering into conversations with team Swift. While it is unclear where the rights will land, several streamers have been told that the Swift team is waiting for the end of the SAG strike to begin negotiations in earnest.”
Translation: We don’t know where the movie will land just yet. 🤷♀️
When will the Eras Tour movie be on streaming?
According to Taylor’s deal with AMC, the movie will be playing exclusively in theaters for at least 13 weeks, which means it likely won’t hit streaming services until that’s over. There’s no confirmation of a release date, but the Eras movie could hit streamers after January 12, 2024, because that’s 13 weeks after its theatrical release of October 13, 2023.
Her team would also need some time to negotiate with different streaming services, so there’s a chance it could land on streaming services much later.
