If you ask us to write a list of things we would never expect to see from Victoria Beckham, top of that list would be ‘wear flat shoes’. Yep, the former Spice Girl turned fashion designer has a long documented history of her love for a high heel, and even once reportedly said “I just can’t concentrate in flats”.
Imagine our shock then when VB took to her Instagram stories to upload a photo of herself not just wearing flats, but wearing *those* viral giant yellow Crocs boots. We had to do a double take.
Styled with a chic black sleeveless midi dress, Victoria struck a model-worthy pose in the snap, holding up the hem of her dress to show off the entirety of the boots in all their glory. She even added a yellow heart emoji to the snap.
Does this mean Crocs officially have VB’s seal of approval?
Crocs are a notoriously controversial shoe, loved and loathed in equal measure by fashion’s elite. But following collaborations with Christopher Kane and Balenciaga, it seems even the most Crocs-adverse are being won over by the undeniable comfort – not to mention practicality – of a Croc. No longer are they reserved for healthcare professionals and categorised as a walking sandal.
It seems Crocs’ latest collaboration with art collective MSCHF was what it took to finally convince VB, something Justin Bieber couldn’t accomplish (remember that Insta interaction back in 2021?)
Following the success of MSCHF’s Big Red Boot – you know, but if you don’t they were big and red and looked like an IRL cartoon – we have now been introduced to the Big Red Boot (Yellow) with the addition of Crocs signature ventilation holes. And who better to star in the campaign than Paris Hilton?
The Crocs boots don’t go on sale until the 9th of August, but if you can’t wait we’ve rounded up our favourite Crocs varieties to shop now:
If they’re good enough for VB…
