Following her highly-publicized abdominal surgery back in January, Kate Middleton was spotted for the first time yesterday while driving in a car with her mom, Carole Middleton.
The photo was published by multiple websites here in the United States, including Entertainment Tonight and TMZ. But apparently, it hasn’t appeared ~across the pond~ in the UK…which seemingly has everything to do with Kensington Palace shutting it down.
According to the Daily Mail, “the pictures were published by US gossip website TMZ but not in the UK after Kensington Palace appealed for her to be able to recuperate in private.” The outlet also noted that, “Kensington Palace did not comment tonight but sources stressed these were paparazzi pictures that were not authorised by the palace.”
The pic of Kate in question dropped amid a ton of conspiracy theories regarding her whereabouts, which Kensington Palace vaguely addressed on February 29 in a statement to Page Six that read, “Kensington Palace made it clear in January the timelines of the princess’ recovery and we’d only be providing significant updates. That guidance stands.” They also notably added that Kate is “doing well.”
Meanwhile, Prince William apparently has no plans to reveal more about Kate’s condition. A friend of his recently told the Daily Beast, “The newspapers are always telling the family how to run their press operations. This time—surprise surprise—they seem to think it would be a good idea for the royal family to give them more information about Kate. William isn’t a big one for doing stuff because the Daily Mail says he should.”
“If William has read any of this stuff, it will only make him more determined to stick to his guns and keep his wife out of the limelight while she recovers,” the insider added.
Well! Then!!!
