Due to the events of yesterday, January 4, there is reason to hope and believe that 2024 will actually come through for us. And naturally, I speak only of Jeremy Allen White’s Calvin Klein campaign, which casually launched in the morning with a series of images featuring The Bear star posing in various states of undress while lurking on what appears to be the luckiest rooftop in New York.
Obviously, it ended up being a very horny day for most people with eyeballs, and now that we’re coming down from the initial waves of shock and awe, we can take a moment to reflect. Alas, let’s give voice to those among us who bravely took their thirst to the public forum that is Twitter:
Believe it or not, Jeremy didn’t plan for this campaign and told GQ, “I didn’t see this in my future necessarily. Who grows up thinking, Yeah, I’ll be in a Calvin Klein campaign?” However, he *did* note, “I was used to running around in front of large groups of people in my underwear because of [The Iron Claw]. So maybe there was some mental and emotional prep from that job.”
Jeremy also said he suffered from imposter syndrome ahead of the shoot, and explained, “In my head, I was just like, I can’t see myself on a billboard. I shouldn’t be here. Just real imposter syndrome.”
Um, he! was! wrong!
