The AMC series, based on the Anne Rice novels, is about as witchy as it gets. It technically takes place in the same world as Interview with the Vampire, if you’re a fan of shared universes. Mayfair Witches is all about a doctor who learns she’s not only part of a fated witch family, but their heiress, and she’s magical herself. Just like The Princess Diaries, right?

Ichabod Crane’s wife, Katrina, is a witch who appears in the first two seasons, and there is magic and mayhem throughout. The titular character is not actually the witch on the show, but don’t worry about that. The Netflix series, adapted from a video game, quickly filled the Game of Thrones–size hole in our hearts while we twiddled our thumbs for House of the Dragon, and it hasn’t disappointed us yet. There’s actually, like, way more magic in the show than GoT ever had. It is hardly a fair comparison besides the fantasy braids and sword fights and spooky woods.
