Taylor Swift’s publicist is not playing games. Yesterday, Tree Paine, who has long represented the superstar, responded for the first time to ongoing rumors that Taylor secretly wed ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn before their split early this year.

“Enough is enough with these fabricated lies about Taylor from Deuxmoi. There was NEVER a marriage or ceremony of ANY kind. This is an insane thing to post,” Tree posted on X in response to a new post from the Instagram gossip account last night. “It’s time for you to be held accountable for the pain and trauma you cause with posts like these.”

In its post, Deuxmoi claimed multiple sources close to the “Karma” singer had said she and Alwyn “DID have a ceremony in either 2020 or 2021 in the UK and it was described to me a a ‘marriage’ by more than one person. It was NEVER made legal.”

Taylor and Joe began dating in 2016 and broke up around March of this year. The reason remains unclear.

Deuxmoi continued: “I will die on this hill! Put it on my tombstone! I have no reason to lie, I could give a shit what she does!!!!! I’m sorry she didn’t tell you guys about it in song but just because she doesn’t sing about something doesn’t mean it didn’t happen!!!”

Swifties quickly swarmed to support Tree in the comment section of her post. “CLEAR IT MOTHER,” one wrote. “THIS is what we call premium PR! Get em Treemotherrrr,” another commented. “Tree Paine has a message for President snow,” another joked, referring to the dictator in The Hunger Games.
