Prince Harry made an appearance on Good Morning America while in Canada for the Invictus Games Winter Training Camp and spoke both about his father King Charles’ health and his recent trip to England for the first time publicly.

When asked “How was that visit for you, emotionally?” Harry responded by saying the following per the Telegraph: “Look, I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him I’m grateful for that.”

The royal was then asked whether Charles’ illness could have a “reunifying effect,” and mused, “Absolutely. Yeah, I’m sure,” before adding, “Throughout all these [Invictus Games] families I see it on a day-to-day basis the strength of the family unit coming together. I think any illness, any sickness brings families together.”

Earlier this month, Prince Harry’s brother Prince William also opened up about their dad’s health while at a London Air Ambulance Charity Gala. “I’d like to take this opportunity to say thank you, also, for the kind messages of support for Catherine and for my father, especially in recent days. It means a great deal to us all,” the Duke of Cambridge began his speech before jokingly adding, “It’s fair to say the past few weeks have had a rather ‘medical’ focus. So I thought I’d come to an air ambulance function to get away from it all!”
