Parachute has long reigned as a cult-favorite bedding and bath brand (if you’ve tried its sheets or towels…you know), but did you know it makes fab furniture, too? It launched a bedroom collection in 2021 and dropped a living room line in 2022, complete with 15 brand-new pieces—from couches to chairs and coffee tables—ready to make your home cozy and chic. To say I’m obsessed would be an understatement.
Is there anything better than a Sunday morning? The team behind Sundays doesn’t think so, which is why they named their brand after it. Each of the products is simple and cozy while still being super modern and chic. I’m obsessed with the living room furniture (this media console is calling my name) but the bed and bath pieces are also stun-ning.

Opalhouse designed with Jungalow Maddalena Mushroom Stool Cream
I mean, I know I don’t need to explain Target to you. I really don’t. But if you haven’t filled your Big Red (virtual) Cart with furniture before, it’s time. Its selection is seemingly infinite (like, if you can’t find what you’re looking for on the Target website, then it likely doesn’t exist), and it has teamed up with incredible, popular designers—like Shea McGee of Studio McGee, Justina Blakeney of Jungalow, and Chip and Joanna Gaines—to bring their designs to the masses with hella-affordable prices.

Birch Lane
Wolferstorn Upholstered Bed
From the same owners of Wayfair, Joss & Main, and AllModern is Birch Lane, an online marketplace for furniture and home goods that’s much more timeless than trendy. Think of it as a brand that both you, your mom, and your grandma could all shop at, with classic furnishings at prices you’ll actually be able to stomach. But don’t read into that too much—you’ll still find super chic things on the site.

Jung Lee New York

If you’re ever in New York City, you should definitely take the time to go visit designer Jung Lee’s exquisitely-curated home goods store. It’s a truly magical place, and it’s immediately apparent that Jung has incredible taste (that’s probably why she’s been asked to plan parties for both Katy Perry and the White House!). But if the Big Apple is a little far, you can still shop her collection of decor and furniture online. You’ll find a mix of prices, colors, and design styles, so trust that there’s something for everyone, no matter what you’re looking for.

Think of your trendiest friend, then picture what you think their apartment should look like. Chances are, it could be entirely designed using pieces from Lulu and Georgia. The mid-priced home brand is basically “That Girl” in decor form, boasting interior-designer-approved furniture, lighting, wall art, and more.

Williams Sonoma Home
Point Reyes Round Side Table
When you think of Williams Sonoma, you might think of cookware, bakeware, and other kitchen essentials. But their sister store, Williams Sonoma Home, also has some gorgeous furniture to decorate the rest of the house with. The prices aren’t extravagant, but the products are high-quality and a good mix of trendy and classic.
If I had to describe Castlery’s products in one word, it would be “cool.” Everything on its site is chic and modern and fun…but somehow never ventures into “this will probably be out of style in 10 years” territory. Its probably best known for its sculptural sofas, but you’d be remiss not to check out its bedframes, tables, and storage units. They’re super sophisticated and also pretty darn affordable for the quality.
Rove Concepts only does furniture (okay, and a few decor items), but it does it right. From bed frames to sofas and all the tables you could fathom in between, the brand has found its niche with durable items that range from contemporary to mid-century modern. Be sure to check its sale section to get the good goods for up to 30 percent off.

Whether you love or love to hate Walmart, it’s hard to deny that it’s got lots of options in the home decor department—and many of those options are incredibly affordable. Its website is a great place to start if you’re trying to decorate on the cheap or aren’t sure if you’re ready to splurge on a trendy piece of furniture quite yet. Honestly, I got my bar cart on Walmart.com for $50 a few years ago, and we’re still going strong.

Hop on over to this site if you’re not afraid of a little color, quirky shape, or fun print. Jonathan Adler started as a potter before venturing into the design space, and his eponymous brand—which also has brick-and-mortar locations worldwide—is where you’ll find over-the-top statement pieces (like the cloud-shaped couch and cube tables you see here) or unique decor for gifting.
Based in Vancouver, Canada, Eternity Modern is a direct-to-consumer furniture brand selling luxe mid-century modern pieces at reasonable prices. Many of its products are actually modeled after other famous mid-century designs—basically dupes for classic designs (FYI, they mark which products are “reproductions” on the site, so it’s clear from the start). For example, these Flag Halyard-inspired chairs, and this Jorgen Hovelskov-esque harp chair.

In my eyes, every piece from The Citizenry is the definition of effortlessly cool. It recently expanded its furniture selection, offering chairs, couches, beds, and more that are chic, minimalist, and fit into any neutral-centric space. Article started in Vancouver in 2013, and you’ve definitely seen its products in homes across North America in the decade since. The direct-to-consumer brand has become a fan favorite for its modern but classic furniture at prices that won’t increase your heart rate. Yamazaki Leaning Ladder Rack
As one of the most popular department stores in this great nation, Nordstrom truly has it all—furniture and home decor included. Its selection is anything but sparse, as it curates a variety of popular home brands, like Parachute, HAY, Le Creuset, Estelle Colored Glass, and more. While it’s hard to pinpoint just one type of aesthetic you’ll find here (there are so many different brands, after all!), you can expect everything to feel elevated and cool, like it was just plucked off of your FYP.
