Former Bachelor star Nick Viall has some, ahem, notes for Joey Graziadei this season on The Bachelorspecifically when it comes to authenticity. Apparently, the former Bachelorette, Bachelor, *and* Bachelor in Paradise star isn’t too impressed by the fact that Joey’s only been sending his contestants home when he’s “supposed to” (i.e. during Rose Ceremonies and at the end of one-on-one dates).

“No one’s been sent home outside of a Rose Ceremony. There’s been no traumatic exit,” the new dad said on his podcast, The Viall Files. “Joey hasn’t sent anyone home outside of the format of the show.”

Nick noted that “everyone else has gone home on a Rose Ceremony” and implied that Joey is too much of a “people pleaser,” which ends up making him seem inauthentic.

“To me, that’s just Joey, the people pleaser, wanting to be kind of nice. It comes across as super nice. It very much does, but it’s less authentic,” Nick added. “It’s also the easy way out. It’s much easier to not give someone a rose than to actually say, ‘Hey, listen, you know, I just don’t think this is it. Can I walk you out?’ There’s just no way he’s having all these one-on-ones and realizing with all these women that there’s a strong connection. And to me, when a Bachelor or a Bachelorette doesn’t send anyone home outside of the format of the show, it makes their actually connections seem a little less authentic.”

I mean, points were made! But it’s still early…ish in the season (‘kay, not really lol), so things might change when it comes to Joey breaking hearts.
