Bunheads, Kim Petras’s future starts now. The pop star, who recently released her major label debut album Feed the Beast in June, is back with more bubblegum pop bangers thanks to the surprise drop of her “lost” album, Problématique.

On September 18, Kim posted the album cover (which was shot by iconic fashion photographer Steven Klein, btw 💅) to her socials. “Problématique. Out now,” she wrote alongside the photo.

Her latest project was originally set to be released after her sex-positive EP Slut Pop but was put on hold and later leaked online in 2022. At the time, Kim actually encouraged fans to listen to the previously unreleased tracks in a series of deleted tweets. “I’m not getting to put out any music anyways I’m fucked,” she wrote, per Rolling Stone. “I’m devastated idk how all of this happened and I just wanna quit.”

She also opened up about the Problématique leak in a statement to the Associated Press. It was shocking when I found out part of the album leaked—at the time—that it wasn’t ever going to come out, especially as I poured so much of myself into it,” Kim said. “I was heartbroken, but at the same time, it was really exciting to see my fans listening to the tracks and loving them.”

Her stand-alone single, “Future Starts Now,” was allegedly going to be the lead single for Problématique but has since been dumped from the track list. Instead, fans were fed with baguettes—both the bread 🥖 and the diamonds 💎 in true Kim Petras fashion—with tracks like the Kylie Minogue–inspired “Born Again” and highly anticipated Paris Hilton collab “All She Wants.”

And speaking of collabs, Kim’s reportedly got some newness with the City Girls dropping soon. During an interview with Extra at the 2023 VMAs, Yung Miami revealed she and JT have a new single with Kim on the way, and the pop star confirmed it is true with a repost on her Twitter account.

Ahead of the surprise drop and her much-anticipated Feed the Beast world tour, Kim also uploaded live performances of “Alone,” “Claws,” and “Minute” in a stunning series of Symphonic Sessions on her official YouTube channel.

Now if you‘ll excuse me, I’m going to blast Problématique, place my beret on my head, and pretend like I’m partying it up in Paris with Kim Petras. Bisous!
