When it comes to Kelly Bone, there is much more than meets the eye. On one level, there is Wolfpack Solutions, the business she founded in 2018, of which she says: “We help organizations and teams solve tough business problems to accelerate change, connect leaders and employees with a unified strategy, increase engagement, and improve the overall business culture.” She would be the first to note that she is in “the people business.” No matter what business she’s involved in, it is always about people.  Since 2018 the Wolfpack brand has expanded globally. There is now the Wolfpack Group of Companies which spans across organizational consulting, financial mortgage industry, real estate and construction.

Harbouring aspirations to be an entrepreneur from a young age, she nurtured a case of wanderlust – travelling across Canada in search of global job opportunities. She spent many years building her skill set and expertise in Dubai, Spain, Egypt, Costa Rica and Panama – and found people and cultures she loved and admired in every place. According to Bone, no matter where she traveled, “God is everywhere. We all want to be loved and appreciated and to share that with one another.” She has searched and found things to love about every culture she encountered. She is well respected all around the world for her specialisation in human behaviour. Bone is a “human behaviourist.” Her skill set is unique and is leveraged by global organizations when it comes to matching talent with the right role, especially C-Suite level positions. Mapping out organizational culture and structure for growth is the name of her game.

Because she has such a unique combination of business savvy and authenticity, there is no one better for seasoned and budding leaders to emulate. Kelly is characterized by a generosity of spirit in sharing hard-earned wisdom and expertise with others, inviting them along on her journey to success.

Bone is clear about her take on many things, including views on how human resources should be developed and managed in her organization(s). Her proven business models are what allows her to acquire and build companies into thriving organizations.

Bone on Empowering Employees

Kelly’s take is that team members should be given responsibility to act and make decisions within an organization. This means that there is trust and understanding in place to ensure these actions are in keeping with company goals. Empowering employees is essential for growing a sustainable business. While many companies she observed grew ground-up from the hard work and dedication of one or two entrepreneurs, she believes true growth is the product of multiple people working together. She encourages empowering employees, leveraging their talent, as a culture, which takes an increase in trust, clear communication, and strategic delegation. She suggests that the focus should be on empowering rather than micromanaging. By empowering a team, a company will gain momentum and growth, but to do so leaders must be provided with an accountability model to measure and empower performance.

Kelly Bone’s List To Create an Empowering Culture:

  • Delegate with the intent to grow and develop the capabilities and responsibilities of employees.
  • Set clear expectations and define the boundaries within which employees are free to act, giving them permission to make decisions while ensuring their decisions are in keeping with company goals.
  • Give employees autonomy over assignments, accepting this will likely mean they will complete tasks differently.
  • If and when employees expect leaders to magically solve problems for them, offer tools, resources, and be a sounding board for their ideas.
  • Give constructive, thoughtful, and specific feedback.
  • When possible include employees in preliminary processes, decision-making, and goal-setting.
  • Clearly communicate the vision of the organization and how a team and its individuals can contribute to that vision.
  • Recognize employees for hard work and show appreciation for work well done, encouraging them to continue to be innovative, take action, and solve problems.
  • A Growth Mindset culture is key  to building high performance teams.

What a list! But, no surprise for a company leader with a mission statement that reads like this, “To build careers worth having, businesses worth owning, lives worth living, experiences worth giving, and legacies worth leaving.” Bone has incorporated an ABUNDANT MINDSET in her company vision that includes continuous improvement in three core areas: People. Process.  Performance. Bone says, “The right people working the right processes will ensure superior performance. Culture is everything. All my companies are built on the abundant model mindset:  God, family, community, and then business.” To solidify this understanding, she and her team have formalized the Wolfpack belief system called “PACKPOWER,” a clear and intentional guide regarding how they do business and how they treat one another. The world would be a much better place if everyone would follow Kelly Bone’s lead in recognizing what’s important, and the things that truly count in life and in business.

Wolfpack Consulting & Coaching Solutions helps companies:

  • Tell their story so that their employees, clients, and partners can connect with their promises.
  • Develop brand ambassador programs, employee retreats and more to ignite their company culture.
  • Define and connect their mission, vision, and values to current and prospective employees.
  • Drive behavior change, including ethics, compliance, safety, quality, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability.
  • Plan communication, strategize with company leaders, create organizational roadmaps, goal setting, and produce technical and soft skill training.
  • Shape and articulate employee value proposition.  A company’s brand is their promise.  A company’s culture is how it delivers on its promise.

Kelly Bone brings a lot to the table – business acumen, communication skills, personality, emotional maturity, and the humility to be genuinely grateful for every blessing she has had along the way to building her Wolfpack Empire.
