The Princess of Wales is getting into the holiday spirit ahead of her upcoming service, Royal Carols: Together at Christmas.
In a new promo video that aired last night on U.K. networks ITV1 and ITVX, Kate Middleton looked like a winter wonderland fantasy in a bright ivory tweed coat from Self-Portrait.
The jacket’s white sequins twinkled in the light as she stood in front of a tall, illuminated Christmas tree decorated with large red and silver ornaments. The jacket additionally featured pearl encrusted buttons and pearl embroidery along the collar, down the bodice, and across the opening of its side pockets. Kate coordinated her accessories to the statement piece, wearing pearl-embellished circle earrings.
“Join me this Christmas Eve for a special carol service, as we say a heartfelt thank you to all those supporting the very youngest members of our society during those crucial early years,” she said in the promo.
This will be Kate’s third year in a row hosting the carol service at Westminster Abbey, a program that has become something of a tentpole event for the royal. She first launched the celebration in 2021 in order to honor “the incredible work of individuals and [organizations] across the nation who have stepped up to support their communities through the pandemic.”
This year’s service, which will take place today, puts the spotlight on a cause close to the princess’s heart: the developmental and social significance of a child’s early years.
Along with her Shaping Us campaign, Kate will uplift those advocates and experts who have demonstrated the need to “build supportive, nurturing worlds around children and the adults in their lives.”
Viewers can also expect to see special guest appearances from Jacob Collier, Freya Ridings, James Bay, Beverley Knight, and Adam Lambert.
Royal Carols: Together at Christmas will broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX on December 24.
