preview for 10 Times Kate Middleton Dressed Like Princess Diana

Kate Middleton was the picture of a modern royal as she stepped out today to continue honoring World Mental Health Day.

To visit Nottingham Trent University, the Princess of Wales looked fresh and elegant in a monochrome fall ensemble and quietly luxurious coordinating accessories. The day look was composed of a ribbed cream sweater with brown buttons on the sleeves, plus a matching ribbed midi skirt which flowed as she walked. Kate paired the set with beige staples, including her go-to suede pumps and a small leather handbag with golden hardware. She additionally added a pop of sparkle with a pair of sculptural gold earrings with a drop pearl, and her diamond-and-sapphire engagement ring from Prince William.

Kate wore rosy makeup and a subtle smoky eye for the day of engagements, and had her hair styled in her signature silky waves.

At the university, Kate discussed the importance of mental well-being, particularly for young people. The visit came after Kate carried out another engagement yesterday to mark World Mental Health Day. Then, she and William made a joint appearance to host “Exploring Our Emotional Worlds,” a forum for young people to talk about their communities and emotions, held in Birmingham, England. During the event, Kate took the stage to deliver an inspiring speech about the importance of breaking the stigma around mental health.

“What are we trying to improve by focusing our efforts on mental health? Ultimately, we are working to build a happier, healthier world,” she said onstage. “We want to shape fairer, safer, kinder, more equal societies—societies that seek the common good and a better future together.”
