This week, I was lucky enough to see a screening of Babes, which comes out tomorrow – and is AMAZING. Two best friends (played by Ilana Glazer and Michelle Buteau) navigate the chaos of pregnancy and childbirth and friendship. “I came from making Broad City with Abbi Jacobson, where we had so thoroughly described our 20s,” Ilana said during the post-screening Q&A. “Then my friends and I were in our 30s, and we started putting together a list of the funniest things we could, like the physicality of motherhood — your boobs, the horniness, all the shocking shit.” I laughed for the first 90% of the movie and wept the last 10%. What an ode to female friendship and the love story it truly is. Grab all the women you know and see it in the theater.

smitten kitchen hash browns

My mom is visiting this weekend, and she’s always sweet enough to cook for us. I’ve humbly requested hashbrown patties, which Smitten Kitchen describes as the ideal “raft for an egg.” (And if your mom is not in town, you can also get similar patties at Trader Joe’s.)

As I’ve mentioned, my favorite pillow ever is the Marlow. It’s soooooo comfortable and cooling, and you can adjust the thickness so it’s exactly how you like it. Right now, Marlow’s sale gets you up to 30% off (no promo code needed). I’m excited about their travel bundle — how cozy would it be to fly with a mini pillow, sateen pillowcase and fleece blanket?

Andrew Scott (aka Hot Priest aka Paul Mescal’s boyfriend aka all of our boyfriend) released his narration of an erotica book today with the Quinn app. He plays Robb the Protector, the personal guard to an autocratic queen who is under attack. Thoughts? Will you be listening?

P.S. More fun things, and what has made you laugh lately?
