Enjoying Girls5Eva on Peacock? It’s unclear whether or not the girl group will reunite for a third time for another season, but here’s what we know about what’s next for the sitcom.
The show may not be an Emmy-winning hit (it did get a writing nom though!), but it has a good fan base and a solid cast with clout. How could you deny superstars Sara Bareilles, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Paula Pell, Busy Philipps, and Tina Fey another season if that’s what they wanted to do? Fingers crossed that they get to keep doing it.
Has Girls5Eva been renewed for season 3?
This reunion won’t be cut short! Girls5Eva will be back for another season, but there is a catch! It will now be airing on Netflix after Peacock unfortunately cancelled the show. So basically, the show is also taking a bit of a tour over to a new streamer thanks to it’s new home.
Who would be in season 3, if it happens?
That’s the thing, isn’t it? There are so many funny sitcom and Broadway people in Girls5Eva that half the reason to keep the show going is to bring on new cast members.
Season 2’s guest stars included Amber Ruffin, Chad L. Coleman, the Property Brothers, Heidi Gardner, Hoda Kotb, Tim Meadows, James Monroe Inglehart, John Lutz, Mario Cantone, Amy Sedaris, and Neil Flynn. What other legends will join in? We’ll have to wait and see.
When would season 3 be out?
Netflix revealed the release date with a brand new trailer and trust us, you’re not going to want to miss this! The series will officially be back on Thursday, March 14 and for those who haven’t had the chance to see it all just yet, seasons 1 and 2 will also be available on the streamer.
