Ethan Slater’s ex-wife Lilly Jay has broken her silence on Ethan’s new relationship with his Wicked co-star Ariana Grande, saying her family is “collateral damage” in their whirlwind romance.
“[Ariana’s] the story really. She’s not a girl’s girl,” Lilly told Page Six exclusively. “My family is just collateral damage.”
“The story is her and Dalton,” she added. According to Page Six, multiple sources said Lilly had been “calling every news outlet to get this story out.”

“She’s telling Ethan and others that she only cares about protecting their child. She’s rightfully upset because her marriage fell apart, but Ariana and Ethan didn’t do anything wrong,” the sources said, claiming Ethan and Lilly had already been separated for two months before his relationship with Ariana started.
Ethan filed for divorce from Lilly on Wednesday after almost four years of marriage. The reason remains unknown, but sources say Lilly was “completely blindsided” by their breakup and his relationship with Ariana Grande.
A Page Six insider alleged that Ariana is the “reason” for the split since she and Ethan have been in London together for the past year filming Wicked, and he and Lilly “suddenly break up now when nothing appeared wrong between them.”
US Weekly sources also seems to support this theory, saying, “Ethan sat Lilly down a few days before the news broke about him and Ariana and said that he wanted a divorce. Lilly never saw it coming!“
Both Ariana and Ethan have remained silent on the situation thus far, but we’ll let you know if that changes. 😬
