preview for Dua Lipa’s Best Looks Yet

When it comes to wearing boots with jeans, there seems to be an unspoken cardinal rule amongst the fashion set: Don’t let the boots bunch up the bottoms of your denim. In her latest look, Dua Lipa threw caution to the wind by interpreting that exact style faux pas in her own, impossibly chic way.

Paparazzi photographed the pop star leaving a radio studio today in London, where she wore a black T-shirt tucked into light-wash baggy jeans that were cinched at the waist with a plain black belt. She ingeniously stuffed the hem of her jeans into a pair of glossy, croc-embossed cowboy boots, which featured a pointed toe and a short block heel. The crimson boots color-coordinated with a slouchy maroon clutch she carried in one arm, as well as with her newly dyed cherry red hair.

And, as if her ensemble didn’t have enough flair as is, Dua finished off the look with a shaggy fur jacket in ivory white.

In a 2017 interview with Bazaar, Dua explained the philosophy behind her bombshell style. “I like having one piece that makes a whole outfit and then you can wear everything else that’s quite simple,” she said. “I’ve always loved dressing up. I like it when things look like you’ve just thrown them on and sometimes the things you really do just throw on look the best. I’ve always been inspired by the ’90s, and I like wearing baggy trousers, and blazers with slipdresses and thigh-high boots or leather jackets, and just a mixture of all those together.”
