The Barbie premiere is currently my entire personality, and while all the looks hit, we’re here to talk about Dua Lipa, who channeled her character Mermaid Barbie with a totally naked Bottega Veneta fishnet dress. Which she paired with literally nothing except for a silver thong and a single strand of diamonds. And naturally she looked incredible.

Dua also leaned into full-blown Barbiecore for a balcony photoshoot ahead of the premiere, which she captioned “come on barbie let’s go party 💞🌴.” Not much to say about it except for all-caps IT’S PERFECT and HER BOOTS.

On top of playing Mermaid Barbie in Barbie, Dua’s “Dance the Night” is featured on the film’s soundtrack.

As for when we can expect more music, Dua told Variety last year that her new album had taken “a complete turn as I’ve carried on working,” adding “I’m going to keep writing in the early months of the new year and see where that takes me. The album is different—it’s still pop but it’s different sonically, and there’s more of a lyrical theme. If I told you the title, everything would make sense—but I think we’ll just have to wait.”

She also apparently told ESNS23,”It has a lyrical theme, more so than sonic. It’s still pop so I’m not getting away from that. I still want to dance and have fun, and do another crazy tour. It’s like a bit more mature in some ways.”

Cannot wait.
