Justin Bieber is no stranger to leaving his fans puzzled, but his latest move has everyone asking the same question. On August 21, the singer posted a photo of himself and Hailey Bieber on Instagram in which someone else had been clearly cropped from the right side. Justin admitted as much in his caption, too: “Sorry to the gurl I cropped out of this pic. I just love this pic of hails and I lol.”
So the question begs: Who got the crop?
Fans were quick to reply with jokes and theories about who got cut from the photo. “I would cry if I was the girl,” one fan wrote, while another commented with, “You’re so real for that 😭.”
And of course, many others claimed to be the mystery woman cropped from the photo, with several comments reading, “I was the girl he cropped out.”
However! After a lil investigating, I was able to track down the original, which was shared on Reddit. In the full photo, Justin and Hailey are posing with a fan at the Dailey Drive McDonald’s in Camarillo, California on August 10, which is…wholesome!
Case closed!
A lil update on Justin and Hailey while we’re here: Per an Us Weekly source, the “tension has settled” following the release of SWAG and the two have “been able to finally reconnect more” this summer.
“The intense focus and emotional toll of creating new music had put a strain on their marriage,” the insider explained. “When Justin is in the studio making new music, he gets completely consumed and shuts everything else out.”
But after spending the summer together in Idaho, there’s now “a sense of relief on both sides.” The source continued, “Justin’s behavior has been more relaxed. He felt a lot of pressure hanging over him and has been in a better mental headspace these last few weeks.”
If his smile in that fan photo is any indication, Justin seems to be thriving rn!
