Millie Bobby Brown may have recently adopted a baby girl with her husband, Jake Bongiovi, but a source just revealed that she has long dreamed of being a young mom.
The insider opened up about MBB’s “wish” in a new People report, saying, “She’s so young, but so focused. And she has the biggest heart. There’s no doubt that she’s a great mom. Pretty much everything she sets her mind to, she crushes.”
The source also shared that the Stranger Things star’s low-key life in the U.S. is a great set-up for raising a family. “They have really worked on creating this special family life in Georgia. She loves her farm—it’s going to be such a special place for the baby to grow up,” they shared. “Even before they were married, she often spoke about her wish to be a young mom. And Jake was always on the same page. They’re in it together.”
The source’s insights come after Millie and Jake expanded their family by adopting a baby girl. The couple shared the news with a joint Instagram post, writing, “This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were 3.”
Back in March, Millie opened up about her hopes of having a big family with Jake on the Smartless podcast and shared that her mom raised her as a twenty-something.
“My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. And you know, it’s been my thing since before I met Jake,” Millie said at the time. “Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me.”
She continued, “And my nan, my grandmother is, she was a huge part of my life. And so, yeah, I mean, Jake knows how important it is to me and, of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me personally. It’s a huge thing. Jake was like, we cannot do that until we get married. So that was his thing.”
Because the couple each comes from families with four children, Millie revealed they’re looking to have more kids down the line. “And my thing was, I really want a family. I really want a big family. I’m one of four. He’s one of four,” she explained. “So, it is definitely in our future, but, for me, I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different as in adopting.”
